Here’s another thank you card for a speaker at one of our meetings. I wanted to try the “digital stamp” again. I’m pleased with the results of the blending. It’s very important to let the printer ink dry completely.

This is a thank you card for our ambassador’s wife. She is the honorary president of the American Women’s Club in Finland and hosted us for a meeting in January. She is from Colorado, so I found a coloring page with Colorado’s state flower – the columbine. I saved the image and re-sized it in a Word document. I printed it on light cardstock then colored just inside the lines with colored pencils. I used Gamsol blending spirits to blend the colors into the picture. I used Glossy Accents on the blue to make it shiny :).

This is a notebook I altered to use when I’m at AWC meetings and to record anything else to do with the club. I borrowed heavily from a picture of a Hello Kitty Hello USA calendar. Everything was cut by hand. The white stars are drawn on the blue background with an Inkssentials opaque pen in white then covered in Glossy Accents to make them pop and shine. The colored dots are different colors of Stickles. The title is printed with American Typewriter font.
I wanted to alter a notebook, but I didn’t have any particular theme in mind. I got this Hello Kitty princess Sizzix die in Texas this summer, but hadn’t used it yet. I started layering the different colors and got really attached to it. I used Icicle Stickles and Glossy Accents on the crown. Jouni drew the laptop for me and I colored it with a silver pen (Creating Memories). I downloaded the Hello Kitty Angel Font from deviantART. The flower brads are probably from Memory Makers. The border is made with the Fiskars Threading Water punch and I lined the inside with white paper to show through the holes. It’s simple, yet complicated. I’m very happy with it overall.
The notebook will be for my thesis notes. I’ll be starting that in October and now I have a cute notebook ready to see me through the process.
This is an album that I started at GASC 2008 in a class taught by Staci Etheridge. The pictures are from summer 2009 in Texas and represents some of the things that make Reino happy.
The album and papers are all from Cosmo Cricket. The paper is the Get Happy collection. The letters in the album spell H-A-P-P-Y.
Today Jouni and I are celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. He surprised me with some gorgeous earrings this morning. He spoils me. I made this card for him today. The black part is a rub-on from the Cosmo Cricket “Fleuriste” line. I colored it with Lavendar, Lime Green, and Crystal Stickles borrowed from Rachel. Excuse the finger. 🙂 Inside is another rub-on from the same line that reads “You are my happy ending.”

Today is my friend Ramona’s birthday. We like to stay up late and waste time playing PackRat on Facebook. It’s a card collecting and trading game. Some cards are released then purchased or are pop-ups. Others are made by combining three cards to make something else.
Here’s the cover:
The result of a “recipe”:
And the back of the card with the details. Packrats steal and each card in the game will contain the history of that card.
I used watercolor pencils to color and draw the cards. The images are all acrylic stamps from ProvoCraft. The black ink is StazOn. Cardstock is from DCWV. Thanks for looking. This was a lot of fun to make.
I haven’t scrapped or made cards in a long time. I need to get back to that. Yesterday was (Inter)National Scrapbook Day. I was determined to do something scrappy. I had to clean up my space first and then I got started on my cards. I have to admit that I didn’t finish them last night. The light wasn’t good and I needed to coordinate colors and see the papers. I finshed this morning and here’s what they look like. Thanks for looking!
I used Basic Grey’s Lily Kate papers. The flowers are white silk with Color Box Pink Pastel liquid chalk for color.
