We had a Christmas card swap at Scrap Haven and I’ve finally finished mine. I’m four days late and I am truly sorry about that. Want to see them? I knew you would. I’m sorry these are fuzzy. I took the pictures with my phone camera.
This was the first one I made. One swap recipient will receive a prototype which is slightly different. I used some e-cuts, but added some dimension with the hat band and the coal bits.
I love this paper and wish I had more. This is another one I had planned from the start. I wanted to do a Christmas color block card.
When I bought this Sizzlits die, I really thought this flower looked like a poinsettia. When I showed it to dh and asked him if it looked looked like a poinsettia, he agreed that it did “in a Dali sort of way.”
This one took a long time, but it’s my favorite. I liked it so much that I decided to make it into an ornament. It’s the same Basic Grey Blitzen paper that I used in the color block cards. I still have some left and will probably make a few more of these.
I saw this technique online, probably at Craft TV Weekly. I used my Marvy Giga square punch to cut squares then cut them in half to make the triangles. I think I used 130 mini brads on the cards. My fingers are sore! My bronze pen finally conked out after four cards so someone is getting one that is slightly different.
Thanks for looking!
